From 2003 Michael has been contracted on several cruise ships in the Mediterranean, the Carribean, Africa and South America. While generally operating as a solo pianist/ vocalist, Michael has performed with ship 'guest entertainers' and with vocalists from the ships' production cast. As a vocalist he has also fronted resident orchestras and bands from some ships.
Michael worked extensively with these entertainers to provide a wide range of music for themes nights, for example;
Swing Night music from Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole etc.
New Orleans Blues Night music from Louis Armstrong, Ray Charles, Harry Connick Junior etc.
Soul Night music from Al Green, George Bensen, Al Jarreau, Billy Withers etc.
Rock Unplugged Night music from Sting, Santana, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd etc.
Latin Jazz Night with Brazilian bossa novas and of Afro-Cuban Salsa.
Michael has been contracted on 'The Sunbird', 'The Carousel', ''The Thompson Spirit', 'The Princess Star', 'Minerva II' (2005/2006) and 'The Hebridean Spirit' (2007/2008).
